We understand that life and health can get in the way of dog training. To ensure fair service to existing and future students, we have the below policies in place. Please note that credits must be used within six calendar months from issuance.

• Payment: Payment must be remitted on registering for group classes, and at the beginning of a private session.

• Pee Fee: Accidents happen! However frequent urination, marking on equipment or indoors will result in a $15 clean up fee per incident.

• Injuries: A vet or doctor note will result in credits which can be used within six months of purchase

• TailWinds Rebooks: In case of bad weather etc, TailWinds may push the class to the end of the session, or offer a credit at our discretion. Rebooks, makeups, and codes must be used within a year of purchase.

• Client Rebooks: Privates can be rebooked 48 hours in advance. As of July 2023, there will no longer be individual private makeups for group classes. The option available will be putting that lesson towards another session of classes within 3 months of the original class.

• Refunds: There are no refunds

• Reactive Dogs: TailWinds supports reactive dogs in their training journey! We will assess and incorporate your dogs into a program where appropriate. Dogs who are struggling in a group setting may be moved to privates at our discretion.

• Loose Dogs: Dogs are required to be on leash and under control at all times unless performing a specific sequence under instructor direction. Handlers who do not follow these rules will be asked to leave with no refund.

• Punishment: E-collars, prong collars, verbal and physical corrections are not permitted in class. If you are challenged by your dog’s current behaviour, we will work with you to resolve them. This is not just a company policy - competitions do not allow the use of these tools or methods. When they are on property they must be on a flat, gentle leader, or harness.

• Waiver: Every student must sign the waiver before attending our classes for insurance and safety purposes.

• Classes may run in or outdoors. Typically agility and ratting are run outdoors. Each class will describe class location and indoor/outdoor.

By participating or signing up for any activity, I hereby release, waive and forever discharge Tailwinds Training & Coaching, it's employees, agents, contractors, and hosting facilities from all claims, demands, actions, causes of actions, damages, costs and expenses of any kind in respect of death, injury, loss or damage to my person, or to my dog or to the hosting property, howsoever caused, arising or to arise by reason of my participation or my dog's participation in any program in any location where the program is held. Where children are involved, the named-parent or guardian must attend all sessions.

I hereby confirm that all behavioural and medical issues have been fully disclosed, in writing, to Tailwinds Training & Coaching. I furthermore acknowledge that I am solely responsible for the behaviour of my dog and responsible for any damage to property or person while participating in any program in any location operated by Tailwinds Training & Coaching. Where children are involved, the named-parent or guardian must attend all sessions. In the case emergency medical care is required, I hereby give permission to Tailwinds Training & Coaching call paramedic or veterinary services on my behalf and at my own expense. I furthermore understand that this liability waiver extends to any and all events or training event run by TailWinds.

By participating or signing up for any activity, I hereby agree that any video or written material provided by TailWinds for class training purposes is for the use of that student only, and is not to be distributed or shared. I also confirm that my dog is up to date on all required vaccines. I understand that the rabies shot is legally required in Ontario and that titres are not legally acceptable for rabies immunization. Furthermore, I confirm that my dog has no communicable diseases or viruses, including but not limited to parvo or distemper. I furthermore understand that TailWinds Training & Coaching does not allow the use of harsh or inhumane treatment of dogs on property, including verbal and physical assault, or punishment tools such as shock or prong collars. I acknowledge that I use of this methods in class may result in dismissal with no refund.

By participating or signing up for any activity, I agree a class or session may be postponed due to severe weather, or at the discretion of the instructor. Where a class or session is cancelled, the class will be rebooked. Where rebooking is not possible, a credit may be offered towards another class up to 12 months from the cancellation date. There are no refunds or student makeups for missed classes. By signing this waiver I am opting into the TailWinds mailing list, and can opt out in future by email TailWindsTraining@gmail.com. By accepting this waiver, I accept all policies and procedures as listed on the site.

No peeing in the agility field
No peeing man-made objects

Parking
Park on the north side (same side as field) ONLY
Pickup after your dog - NO EXCEPTIONS
